Rick carves in many different species of wood, uses stone, glass, sand, felt, twine, twigs, leaves...so many different types of material, nature & man made, to create these works of art. Most of these pieces are inspired by the natural shapes already hidden within the original piece of wood, which Rick then draws to the surface with great detail and finesse.
