AMERICAN DREAM My brothers who know my footprints call me out. The spirit who knows me calls me in. Inside I sit ageless. The buffalo moves by his blood in my veins, fur on my skin. In my vision I see my form as the buffalo vanishing. A silver lining of sorrow forms. Passes like a vaporous cloud. A pureness permeates my awareness. I rise with the wind And cast my ashes to the Eagle for flight, To the buffalo for firm footing, To the mountain lion for agility, Whose talons, hooves, and paws - Take up the rhythm of the Universe. I rejoice in my completeness. Dreams form the path of the land. Visions display the flow of the Universe.
MATERIAL STORY American Dream began with a dramatic piece of cypress wood from northern Florida, but it evolved into a multi-media piece composed of numerous "magical" components which entered the process as the personality of the sculpture revealed itself.
